Cassandra McLaughlan

Cassandra McLaughlan, B.A., is a Clinical Research Associate in the Health and the Legal System (HEALS) Lab at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Social Justice from Hendrix College in 2023. Driven by a commitment to social equity, Cassandra actively works to transform the narrative surrounding justice-involvement, including advocating for rehabilitative support over punitive measures. By supporting practices that prioritize recovery, she aims to cultivate a more compassionate approach to justice that not only addresses the immediate needs of those impacted by the legal system but promotes long-term community well-being and reentry. She is a member of the Women’s Justice-Health Alliance leadership team and coordinates our Learning Collaborative speaker series.
